About Seaside Legal Services
Seaside Legal Services is a California nonprofit organization that provides attorneys and other legal services in civil matters for the low-income residents of south Orange County, California. There is no charge to our clients for any of our services. We provide legal counsel to those who need an attorney and do not have the means to employ one.
We do not provide services in criminal matters. The public defender is available to all who cannot afford counsel in criminal matters. It does not provide services or consultation to those who are currently represented by private counsel.

Our organization was founded in 2014 by executive director A. Jane Fulton, an AV-rated attorney who was admitted to the bar in 1966 to practice in all California state courts, all federal courts, and the United States Supreme Court.
SLS is governed by a five-person board of directors, with finances handled by a CPA. Several generous attorney colleagues take referrals from SLS on a pro bono basis. It is our mission to help fight the widening “justice gap” that bars many Americans from access to affordable legal representation.
